Symptoms of Acoustic neuroma
Acoustic neuroma Symptoms
The most common first symptom of an acoustic neuroma is hearing loss, which is often accompanied by a ringing sound (tinnitis). Common symptoms of Acoustic neuroma include:
- difficulty understanding speech
- dizziness
- loss of balance
- numbness in the face or one ear
- pain in the face or one ear
- transient vision abnormalities
- headache
Acoustic neuroma Information - Acoustic tumors grow very slowly. As they grow, they push against the brain but they don't spread into the brain. An acoustic neuroma is a noncancerous (benign) tumor of the acoustic nerve, which carries sound from the inner ear to the brain.
